Why won’t my baby STOP CRYING?!?!

For parents, there might not be anything more painful than listening to your baby cry (endlessly), especially when you have done EVERYTHING in your power to comfort, nurture, and love them.

Not only is the crying killing you, but how about the lack of sleep?!?

Staying up with a baby that just won’t settle can be one of the worst experiences in life. The day after kiss your focus and concentration goodbye. Don’t let anyone say the wrong thing cause you fuse might be extremely short. You don’t mean to be that way, but you can’t help it…YOU’RE EXHAUSTED!

Now, imagine how much life would be if they could just STOP CRYING!

Thankfully, current research shows there may finally be some solutions.

Many first time moms believe that their baby may have colic because of the perception of crying (although it’s normal for your little one to cry for a few hours each day_.

Unfortunately, crying is your baby’s only communicating when they are hungry, cold, in pain, sick or need a diaper change.

WHAT IS COLIC?

Colic is generally determined by the “rule of three” when violent crying takes place for:

· more than 3 hours per day

· more than 3 days per week

· more than 3 weeks

Based on this, it is estimated that the number of babies that experience colic is anywhere between 20 to 39%

WHAT CAUSES COLIC?

Sadly enough, there is no true consensus as to what causes colic. ::womp womp::

But, there are strong relationships that exist with those babies that suffer from colic…

Here’s an abbreviated list of the “causes of colic”:

· excess gas

· food allergies

· immature digestive tract

· constipation

· hypersensitivity/over-stimulation to light and noise

· an underdeveloped nervous system

If we group the list by categories, we have two major areas:

1. Digestive System

2. Nerve System

EATING TO HELP COLIC

1. Breast milk

I understand and sympathize if you are unable to breastfeed your child.

Formula does little to provide your child with the necessary nutrients they need while providing too much sugar and inflammatory ingredients, both of which can cause and contribute to colic.

It is possible to make your own formula that can mimic breast milk and have less of a negative impact on your baby.

2. Probiotic

Giving your child a probiotic supplement will help their digestion. Healthy bacteria is vital to a healthy gut.
